Field Reports from Operators
Jeju City Warehouse — Staged 0.12 TH/s Addition
A cooperative warehouse near Jeju City planned to add roughly 0.12 TH/s across four new racks. Their electrician warned about panel load but lacked hash-per-watt figures for shortlisted units.
We mapped the 320 A service, identified a 60 A headroom gap after tourist-season demand, and recommended a two-phase purchase: first batch at 0.05 TH/s with duct relocation, second batch after a sub-panel install. Hash stayed within 2% of projected values through August humidity.
Operator note: “The phased plan let us keep mining while the sub-panel was ordered. Report photos matched what our staff saw daily.”
Seogwipo Mixed-Use Building — Noise Boundary
An operator housed 0.08 TH/s in a ground-floor room beneath rental flats. Council correspondence required documented noise at the property line.
We measured fan noise at 1 m and 5 m with stock and aftermarket shrouds, delivered a table the owner attached to their compliance file, and specified a baffle layout that dropped peak dB without cutting hash materially. One neighbour still complained about delivery trucks — unrelated to mining — but the measured fan levels cleared the threshold.
Operator note: “Honest about what shrouds could not fix. The mild hash drop from baffles was acceptable for the noise we shed.”
Audit Before Secondary Purchase
A buyer near Aewol inherited 36 units claimed at 0.06 TH/s aggregate. Before paying, they booked a one-day audit.
We found four hashboards with degraded efficiency and two fans nearing end of life. The written summary let the buyer negotiate ₩4.2M off the asking price and budget maintenance before energizing. Purchase went ahead with eyes open.
Operator note: “Would have paid more without the audit list. Report was blunt — appreciated that.”
Shorter Notes
“They flagged west-wall heat in July before we ordered. Shifted two racks, added a duct — hash stable all humid season.”
— Min-jun K., Jeju City
“Shortlist matched our breaker reality. Only delay was our electrician’s weekend availability.”
— Hyeon-woo P., Seogwipo
“Cooling review cost less than one mis-purchased batch would have. Immersion loop pressure test caught a fitting we had overlooked.”
— Yuna L., Hallim
“Report language was clear for our Korean staff and English accountant. Follow-up call answered one PDU question we had missed.”
— Jae-min O., Jeju-si
“Audit day was thorough — they labeled each underperforming unit. Not everything was glowing, which made us trust the rest.”
— Seung-ho R., mainland visit
